Amr made Thursday night "leela wala agmel men di leela" from Liyaly Dubai.
Besides his band, Amr was accompanied by Mr. Mohsen Jaber, Mr. Ahmed
Ragab, talented composer Amro Mustafa and also Shireen Wagdi. we were there with Amr and the band behind stage in an

Amr ,Shaggy
and Shakira teaming up in new duets..

Once again,
Amr's dueting with Shaggy and Shakira seems to be the main focus of the
ceremony's media's coverage. Both duets reported under devolpment. Amr met
both singers and they all discussed the projects. All parts are excited
about this experience However, Shakira's duet may say the lights earlier
as she is very excited for this experience which will present her more
closer to her original homeland through the Arabian music phenomenon AD.
From his part Shaggy was amazed by Amr's performance in the ceremony. For

Amr in a new
firing interview !!

For the
first time online, AD2000 and Ra7aal.net present a hot firing interview of
Amr which took place in Syria. The interview appears courtesy for "Zahrat
Alkhaleeg" magazine. In this interveiw , Amr talks about the WMA, his
latest tour, the new album, singers who copy him and more.

Channel 1 of
the Egyptian broadcaster the first part of AD’s special show for the WMA
2002. The first part was an interview with AD. The actual WMA performance
is expected to appear in the 2nd part of the show. For once of very few
times, AD talked and gave out a lesson about how he makes his albums and
how he chooses his songs and the whole nine yards which proved that he is
a master of his art. For the first time, AD mentioned quitting twice as he
was asked about how he spends his spare time. Amr declined having any, "I
am always busy," he says" the only free time I will have will be when I
quit, so I can spend some time with my kids." The show host asked "Why do
u want to quit? Why not taking it a little easy?" AD answered "I cant, my
work has to be always phenomenal and that takes a lot of work, but I cant
wait till the day when I wake up in the morning and all I have to do is
water my plants and play with my kids." AD's retirement may not be soon
but he is considering it.
During the interview Amr announced to
public his first collaboration with young producer Fahd. (AmrDiab2000 tip
!) : For those who never heard of Fahd before, he is a talented producer
with a very unique style and few works. He was first presented in 1996 by
Mohammed Mohey in the song "Neda." Later, Fahd collaborated in few
underground tracks except for working with Mohammed Mohey in several
songs. In year 2001, he produced Mohammed Fouad's song "Omm Elshaheed".
Fahd's real breakthrough was collaborating with Amr's famous composer Amr
Mustafa in Faris's latest album "Ahlef Bellah" produced by Alam Elfan .
Amro Mustafa composed the whole album.Fahd produced the main song "Ahlef
Bellah" plus the very unique "leely wah" "Benheb Baad" "Wahishteeny" and
more tracks produced by him and Hameed Elshaery. Fahd latest work was
collabrating with Amr's guitarist Beeno in Hisham Abbas's song " Addi
Eldonia". Since Fahd is now working with Amr, expect two things , expect
his collaboration with Amr to be very different and beyond your
imagination. Also, expect to read his name in alot of the 2002 summer
albums from other singers just like what happend to producer Tarik Madkour
and composer Amro Mustafa in year 2001.

Amr has
surprised the crowd by a very energetic performance and a unique
charismatic style that audience couldn't help but to "dance with the beat"
wit it. Amr has received an open entry visa by prince Albert to Monte
Carlo. The duet with Columbian/Lenanese singer
Shakira remains an idea of a future project . As reported to
amrdiab 2000, Amr has decided to donate 100, 000
pounds to the victims' families from the train's accident. Also, he
will be giving a charity concert at the soccer
stadium soon, 125, 000 people are expected to
attend.
Amr Diab's new victory is meeting a huge media coverage
from the Arabian and Egyptian press, Egyptian TV Channels ever since he
won his second world music award (below is a brief sample article
published a day after the ceremony) . Chairman of Alam
Elfan inc. Mr. Mohsen Gaber was interviewed live on TV last night
about the great international achievement that Amr and his production team
achieved in year 2002. Mr. Mohsen advised that
Amr's performance was at least ten times better than his previous. There
were Only three stars at the ceremony for whom audience stood up after
their shows, Gloria Gaynor, Enrique Iglesias and Amr
Diab.Themes from Amr Diab's songs "Tamally Maak" and "Amarain" were
played before and after the presentations of winners.
As previously reported,The 14th annual World Music Awards
was held at Monte Carlo's International Sporting Club yesterday Wed, Feb
06,2002. Hosted by Shaggy, Mark McGrath and Hollywood actress Jennifer
Love Hewitt
A big list of winners included Amr Diab , Destiny's
Child,Dido,Britney Spears, Alicia Keys, Enrique Iglesias and US rapper Ja
Rule. Soul diva Gloria Gaynor was honoured with the Legend Award by Prince
Albert of Monaco.Irish singer Enya, Australian singer Kylie Minogue ,
Swiss singer DJ Bobo , Chinese singer Nicholas Tse. Host Shaggy did not
leave empty handed, picking up the world's best-selling male artist award.
The BBC british network brodcasted the ceremony live to over 160
countries with an estimated audience of over one
billion viewers.

News : Amr WINS another world music award

Congratulations to all
Amr's fans. Once again, Amr honores all of his fans around the world by
winning another world music award for his latest best seller album "Akter
Wahid". Amr will be accompanied by international star Omar Elshareef in
this sepcial ceremony. This is the second time Amr wins a world music
award after his legendary release "Nour Alain". Amr became the first
Arabic artist to win this award twice.
Amr has officially announced
the news in a short 10 minuts live interview in channel ART music. The
interveiw was aired before the beginning of the most successful concert in
Hala Feb 2002.
Amr also advised that he will start shooting the new
movie in Oct 2002. The movie, as AD2000 previously reported, is produced
by Mohsen Jaber for Alam Elfan and directed by Tarik Alaryan. The new news
is Medhat Aladel will write the scenario of the movie.
the reason of the delay of
shooting the new movie until Oct 2002 , is Amr's wish to re-write the
whole scenario of the movie.

and in the 8th of a February night. Amr Diab, in a formal suit and full of
energy, continues his succesful tour with another Incredible night by
Singing near to 2 hours of his bestest hits, Amr Diab started the concert
with "Akter Wahid", followed by "Wala Ala Balu" and a sneak peak of the
upcoming hit "Amana Aleek" with its oriental tune. Amr said that since
"since we are not in a wedding , we can sing some sad songs like "Weheya
amlah eih" Audiance became excited and cheered and asked Amr to sing it.
Amr sang "Wheya" followed by a medly of old hits "Ragaeen, Tamally Maak,
Amarian, Elalem Allah". During this , Amr left the stage and sang among
the audience then he came back to stage and sang a medly of Nour El Ain
and Awedony . After that, he sang "Baed El layally" , "Kan Tayeb" and zay
el malayka".

Amr Diab flew
yesterday in his way to Syria where he will perform in the 12th and the
14th of this month . Amr advised- in this exclusive news - that sadness is
the main thread of his new album. The main track
( Habibi Ya Omrey حبيبي يا عمري )
is produced and mastered
by the returning Libyan Producer

Elshaery, the song will be featuring the legendary Almasyea Band
who used to perform with Arabian Icon Um Kalthoum. During his previous
visit to Lebanon , Amr had several meetings with known Lebanese producer
Jan Marie ryache (previously collaborated with Alla'a Zalzali) who will be
producing some tracks during the new album recording session as well.

now appear in the new release. Amr composed this track which is Written by
Ayman B Qamar. Amr is also composing

Fahd's involvement has been confirmed to the official fan site and he is
now in the new album staff. In addition to Amr's new discovered writers
and composers , Rabee'a Elsweefy, Mohammed Refaey , Ameer Taema , Khaled
Ezz, Amr Mustafa, Shreif Taj and Mohammed Raheym and many more.
Amr Diab is scheduled to appear during the shopping festivals in
Lebanon and Kuwait , the 15th and the 19th in order.Then he will be back
to Cairo in the
Wednesday feb, 20th
where he will perform local Eid concerts. Following this by a concert in
the
23rd in Sharm Elsheekh.

Egyptian known weekly
magazine "Akhbar Elnogoom" published a news article about Amr Diab's new
album. On top of the new lyrics, The magazine also published additional
two new songs names to the ones AD2000 has published in previous updates.

The report advised that

Amr's heart & Souad Hosni's
auction.

ART channel today Tuesday 02-12-2002, Amr Diab called live today from
Damascus to contribute by 100000 Egyptian pounds funded to an Egyptian
foundation of children who are diseased by cancer to build a new hospital
. The funds were obtained during a huge charitable auction of the last
Souad Hosni's goods. Amr's call was very brief as he called his freind
Sami Aladel, all what he said that he was advised by his wife over the
phone about this wonderful charitable effort. He called as soon as he
heard that and he is sorry that he couldn't be there tonight. He expressed
his willingness to dedicate a whole concert's income to raise the
hospital's fonds. and ended up the call by bidding with 100000 pounds. Amr
won the bid.

working quietly in his forthcoming release. As reported, Amr is working
with his team and accepts songs as offered from both beginners and known
names . Besides "Amana Aleek" and "Olteely Abaed" , listed below are two

it's early stages , there are many tracks to pick and record from,
therefore, any of these songs may not make it to the final selection :

Amr and his
family spent the Christmas and the new year's period in Lebanon. Amr Diab
performed two concerts. The first concert was a huge succesful concert
that took place in the Christmas Eve . The new year's eve concert was more
limited in Sheraton Coral Beach- Janah Beirut. A notable union has taken a
place for the 1st time live between Diab's guitarist Amr Tantawy and
Legendary icon guitarist Beeno Fares. Neither concerts were not and will
not be authorized to be aired on TV due to particular detailed conditions.
The rumors of Amr participating in stage performances for the New Year's
Eve for the Egyptian TV is not true as he flied 2 days after his Sharm
Elsheek concert to Lebanon where he remained for the rest of the year .
On the other hand, Mr. Amr Diab finished recording 3 tracks for
his forthcoming release whose date was pushed back to a TBA release date.

Demonstrating
the kind of exuberant charisma that is largely lacking in the solo artists
in his generation, Amr comes out blazing on year 2001 with "akter wahid" ,
keeping his beats fresh and defining a persona for himself that keeps his
successful history into full account. A snappy and utterly enjoyable pop
record. From its relentlessly catchy opening title track "wala ala balu"
to its sappy, heart-clenching closer "ya habibi la".
The album kicks
off with the high-octane "Wala Ala Balu " a tour de force of Eastern
rhythm,techno background, rap lyrics over a thumping dance beat. The song
was clearly this album's main hit and his new record's signature track.
Title song "akter wahid" has arguably the best danceable, up-tempo tune on
the album. The album focused on soft ballads with a decent melody and sly
flow such as "Olt Eih" and "Sadany Khalas" "ya habibi la" and "baad
ellyaly" which was the sleepy hit of this marvelous masterpiece. In this
track, producer Tarik Madkoor proved that his skills as an arranger isn't
limited to rhythmic intelligence, either. On the other hand, Amr Diab, as
an old habit, could not help standing behind the microphone. He
CO-produced the two versions of his album's main hit "wala ala balu" in
his second experience as producer after his first ever CO-produced song
"Ainy" for Egyptian singer Simon in 1992 . He CO-composed "baad Ellyaly."
Track " adeeny Regatelek" -orginially planned as a title
track-demonstrates another sense of creativity by producer Tarik Madkoor
in this second installment for the known hit " Heya". Unique and creative
lyrics by writer Baha Eldeen Mohammed found its place between Amr Diab's
chores and composition. Another Album stand-outs were "Kan Tayeb" in which
Amr adheres to his most beloved style and the very new "ahibik akrahek"
and the Lyiban Zelal soul track "wala leela".
